Welcome to Coffee Walk Ep. 139!
I got a last minute phone call last night that a group of cars that I have been chasing for a while now could finally be mine. The kicker? It was 4pm in Dallas and we had to make it to Amarillo with the truck and trailer by morning. (Insert dad joke)… CHALLENGE ACCEPTED.
My team and I took off from the shop last night and headed out West to Amarillo, Texas for an 800 mile rescue mission. Watch us save a 1966 Porsche 912, 1968 Dodge Charger 318 V8 and a 1969 Dodge Charger 383 V8 4V 4-speed. We’ve had a high amount of energy drinks and a low amount of sleep over the last 24 hours, but the juice was DEFINITELY worth the squeeze on this one!
As always… GO FAST, HAVE FUN & HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!! and thanks for watching!

Leave the Porsches for people who know how to pronounce the name...It's not Porsch.
Dennis will those chargers be restored or will you sell them as they sit ?
He should save the Studebaker wagons, and that red 65 Mustang..
Dennis Collins un fuerte abrazo desde México🇲🇽👌 mi friend
The trite crow taxonomically wash because legal unknowingly touch qua a apathetic ship. literate, short support
They did put bench seats in 70 chargers
Dennis the wheels that were recalled were Kelsey hayes and dodge did put slant 6 in chargers
What did you pay for the chargers
Wasnt the Police chasin' Steve McQueen in the Charger in Bullitt ... it was 2 hit men :) Love your videos !!
Help me a old man find and finance a 2014 Lexus no Black ext retired with limited cash can put up $5k can you help Me GodvBless
Great Vid.Your lucky Dennis its no VW its an original 912 .just check the Oilfiller and Engine mounting.
Good job buying and filming and posting. A lot of work ahead but great thing you are saving these cars.
McQueen was the police... Charger was bad guys...
Dennis you need to come up with your own tag line instead GM gysot....nice find👍🏾
Didn't want to say what company but it's on the side of the loader
Amarillo isn't West Texas though.
This is a 383 4bbl car. Lifts hood... It's a slant six.
I need the fender and hood off that 53 ford for my 53 Victoria.
It wasn't cops chasing Bullit, they were mafia-same thing. And at one point the mob was chasing Bullit-then he turned the tables....and showed up in their rear view mirror. The look on those thugs faces was just one of many iconic scenes.
Cash Talks, B.S. Walks !! Dennis has plenty of Cash. Would Love to see Every Old Car Saved from the CRUSHER!! HISTORY!!

Just a point of fact the guys chasing BULLIT were hit men not cops.
I’m sure Dennis paid a very fair price for everything he bought, what a find.unlike Richard and the middle man raping this old guy got 3 chargers for like $70k anyways I’m glad I found this channel and I’m gonna continue watching...must be nice to have that type of money

Nice charger but M21 a 4speed ................No ; Roof drip rail moldings
Could you do a follow up with the Porsche running?
Holy Crap that yard is HUGE. (and yes, it took about 2 minutes to figure out where you were at) :-)
The M22 was the rock crusher. M22 gears are made of a higher-grade nickel alloy. The M20 and M21 cluster gears are cut at a 45-degree angle. The reduced gear angle of the M22 created a problem with noise (hence the name "rock-crusher").
Gotta get those Chargers before Chris Birdsong...
Drove past a 68 charger 500 this morning and almost shit my pants! I am a mopar fan! And 500s are rare!
Love these rescue videos Dennis. Great job. 👍
The '66 -'67 Chargers had standard front bucket seats. (The '66 Chargers also had rear buckets.) The 2nd gen '68-'70 chargers were available with bench seats and column shift. M20, M21, and M22 are General Motors Muncie 4 speed manual transmissions; with the M22 being called the "rock crusher" because of its gear noise.
The A-833 is Chrysler's 4 speed manual.
I believe the the M20 was wide and the M21&M22 were close ratio. M22 being the Rockcrusher. Could be wrong.
So badass
Those classic keystones on the 1968 are a great find too.
M20-21 Are Gm gearboxes new process A833 are chysler as strong as a toploader gm boxes arent as strong
Love the Mopar’s. Look under the backseat for the build sheet on the Chargers.
Thanks Dennis for saving these vehicles , it's great that they're located in Texas ..... Loved the 68 charger in Bullitt >> nice find with that tr3 . like those English sports cars .
Very kool!
The name of the place your at was on the truck so much for keeping it off camera
Cherry Ave Auto Parts/Amarillo Auto Crushig 309 W Cherry Ave.

Dang Ram Trucks and their check engine lights. @6:20.
I love the behind the scenes footage showing the whole trip! You should do more videos like this!
I’m going to find who disliked this video and kick them in the face this stuff is awesome
So...how long did it take to load them?
My first car was a 69 charger with a 383 2bl. back in the day it would get 20 mpg running at 80 miles/hr. I wish I still had it I really miss that car.I sold it when my family started as putting a car seat in the back and getting a kid in and out of there was just miserable. Traded it for a new toyota corolla station wagon. Boy if I would have had hindsight. I'd have kept it covered and fixed the motor and kept it driving.
22:04 If they didn't want to be bothered, they're probably swamped with calls now that it's a week later...
I live here in Amarillo. I'm glad they were able to buy those cars. I hate it when people are stubborn and won't sell those cars and let them rot away. But at the end Money Talks.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Slant 6 engines were available in Dodge Chargers in 1968. In fact, they made over 900 of them that year. Most of them became parts cars over the years. In 1969, the production numbers for /6 Chargers dropped in half and decreased yet again the next year.
While all 1968-9 Dodge Chargers came with bucket seats, there were some Chargers in 1970 that did not. Those with the VIN starting with XH29 in 1970 had split bench seats as part of the A73 Special Value Package.
Dennis seems like a great guy to work for. Completely different personality than Richard
Hellaphant motor in the 318 car
M22 was the rock crusher 4 speed M21 was the close ratio 4 speed M20 was the wide ratio 4 speed However, NONE of the M-Series Transmissions were EVER factory installed in ANY Dodge cars!
Massive Shoutout to Zack for the Quick edit and Upload, Awesome Content as usual Dennis and all at #CollinsBrosJeep you guys are killing it with these Saving Car Videos, sending All our very best of wishes from Across the Pond here in Yorkshire, UK hope all Y'all Happier with the Lifted Covid Restrictions and Massive shoutout to Texas...
Dennis, you need to study Mopar tech stuff. The 4-speed is A-833, no connection to GM parlance of Muncie. Great find as usual and always look forward to more.
Chargers did come with bench seats, and slant 6's
I wonder if Mark Worman has watched this. If he did, I'm sure his skin was crawling when Dennis was trying to decode the VINs and Fender tags.
100% right on that one, he has know clue what he is talking about its ok it makes us mopar guys get to joke a little, the rims he is talking about are Kelsey Hase rims and they don't look like the wheels on that Charger they are steal rally's XS is Charger R/T.
Love these types of vids!!
Don't let Richard get ahold of them you know he will 🐵 it up
Did you find the Porsche 912 motor?
Classic cars... Thanks for great show an knowledge of what to look for in a car..
✅
Save cars!! Yes yes yes!!! Gratulation!! Steve hungary
Love you car guys...no Finnigan! Lol
You forgot the most important part about the bullet charger it had five hubcaps. Watch the movie and count there are five hubcaps come off.
Looking forward to the updates on these bad boys.
I got a 1972 datsun 510 wagon I am fixing up
What’s the name of the junkyard?
I do not understand why the owner was that secretive. I literally found the location of his business just by typing "Two red and white radio/cell towers in Amarillo Texas" In google. Just used clues from the video. (In the background around 15:00 you can see the towers) I wont post the location, but just funny.
Bullitt charger was driven by bad guys, not police Dennis
God bless you for rescuing these pieces of history
I think Dennis is a down to earth bloke I don’t think much of his mate Richard R he is a con man. 🇦🇺🙏
New sub here... sorry I’m late.
m22 was muncie rock crusher
I would kill to go with these guys! Just because who they are, they get cars sold to them that normally, people wouldn't have sold.
ONE PORSCHE TWO CHARGERS AND ONE TRIUMPH ???
They accidentally doxed the location with the writing on the side of the forklift. Edit - You can even see the '68 Charger on Google Maps. Edit - And I found the '69 Charger. Edit - Found the Triumph TR3. :-)
My 2 favorit muscles cars ever. Mustang and Chargers from the 1960's
I'll bet that Porche with the VW engine was worth the trip and big money. 😂🤣😂
Dennis what is a 1970 DJ? Or was this lady trying to say CJ? She said both of the trucks runs up here in Minnesota.
I like the front grille on the 68 more I don't like the tail lights more though
give the LV back to your wife. Its creepy
Amazing!!!!
That porche is junk wtf
D21 is 4spd M21 roof and side drip rail HG9 is 383 r bbl 330 h.p
Y los subtitulos en castellano para cuando Sr. Collins
Great find ,very cool cars , thanks great video. 🤠🤠👍👍
M22 rock crusher
Rock crusher..haha lol wrong car manufacturer..but still cool cars. Glad you are saving them.
A shame it's missing the 1.6l type 616/36 b4 or the 616/39 b4, will be good to see this restored properly with matching numbers.
engine light must be common on your truck?
I've lived in Amarillo most of my life, save for the time in the military. I know exactly where that salvage yard is and have spent time in it looking for old truck parts. Good to see some cars being saved, coming out of Amarillo.
