"CJ-5s, the most O'Conick look..." I know he's Irish, but........
Hey Dennis never really been jeep fan other then jacking them up and turning them into rock crawlers. But after watching your AMwine channel I'm starting gain a little bit of interest in them and was wondering whats the difference between a YJ, TJ, and CJ because all 3 look the same to me
I had a 77 Golden Eagle CJ 5 in 77, I miss those days...
I have a 1970 CJ5. It was built when Kaiser owned Jeep. It sat in the barn for 10-15 years without being started. I’ve pulled it out and with help from a friend, I just got it started, today (4/5/21)! I’m thinking of restoring it. Needs floor boards. I think the frame is ok but rust on fenders and inner fenders. It’s a 4 cyl., 3 speed. Any thoughts on this vintage CJ5?
76-83 are garbage , stay old school fool !!!
I have an '81 with an OM617 Mercedes Diesel...
They spelled junk wrong
Aren’t the 76-86 a CJ7?? Cuz I got a 84 and it’s a CJ7
Saving these Jeeps is a service to America. It would be curious to see if any of the internationally licensed Jeeps from Japan, Spain, Venezuela, India made it to the U.S.
Every JEEP on the lot is without a doubt the rarest, most sought after vehicle ever produced on Earth and the planet Mars.
I had a 79 25th silver cj5 got it back in 1986 had a straight 6 4dpd disc brakes. Put a 304 V8 in it and promptly rolled it. Should have never sold the thing it was a Colorado rust free CJ 5
I think the 1983 Serial 50000 is the most valuable.
I just recently gave up my 97 tj for a 76 cj5 with a 304 under the hood, and have been watching to learn more about it all. Honesty im really curious what i even have because the steering colum looks more like the 75 cj's than the ones i have seen on here it has 70,300 miles on it and runs and drives
I was born in 1980, sounds expensive
I have a cj7 1984. I might sell it. watching from Los Angeles, ca
I have a 1976 cj7 that I got at a yard sale 6 cylinder it came with a soft top that was wore out I would like to find a hardtop and solid doors for it
Dennis I have a question I bought a 1979 cj5 vin says it’s 304 v8 with a 3spd 9k sable brown metallic, now it’s a tailgate model was that an original option for a v8 tailgate Jeep ?
I love hearing Dennis rave about every jeep with a T18. I have a T18! lmao
Y’all should put a modern 3.6 JK or JL motor in place of that iron Duke. With the winch and other options that would be a killer daily use Jeep.
I know where a 68 tux park is. Original buick v6, and the original interior for 5
I always love the content. Thank you.
1979 CJ5 Golden Eagle was the Pinnacle. "EH" vin code is what to look for. The Roll bar mounting points is the tell.
Leave the 80 alone you’ll regret it in 20 years Much respect your the man I hope to do business with you one day soon I’m a product developer and I have one right now for the number one selling Toy I would love for you to be my business partner. Lubbock Texas with the Amazon building their new warehouse here I think it would be great timing and opportunity as well.
baby steps Dennis!
what about the 1961 cj5 is it not desirable. just got it don"t know much about it would love to hear some thoughts on it.
I haven’t had this much of a hard on in a while. That parking lot is my heaven!
In my opinion Dennis shouldve had his on show on discovery channel. That 83 CJ 5 is nice I'd says it's your holy grail
Is that a white jaguar behind the blue v8 jeep that looked sweet
How much would a 77 be
I just want a old Jeep Truck for me and my son to tear apart and work with him willimcallow@gmail.com
I love the original Jeep Camanchi you would restore it to to a decent body and a drivetrain in it but it doesn't have to run just a father son project
My first jeep was a 76 304 3 speed
The clear gray legally nail because birch simplistically encourage on a zealous potato. nasty, gifted transmission
Dennis, I love your passion for those jeeps. They are a gold mine!!
And detroit lockers three speed four cylinder
Classic Car dealers. Everything they own is “rare” or “ holy grail”. Everything anyone else has is a POS. That’s how the thinking goes and make money.
302 Ford engine jeep Levi Special Edition memory on Mount Baldy Oregon 1976👍 Torque monster ! Do you need MG 67 looks like Racing in America car ???
Love Dennis’s knowledge and enthusiasm...
The most oconic look? lol
Guys that know their business are unreal, always enjoy the videos!!!
What year Jeep was on the Dukes of Hazzard that Daisy Duke drove and do you have one of those
69

BY By ciao !! from ITALY.......... Fabio Versari
Wash it, clean it and clear coat it...
Owned a copper 1979 Golden Eagle with the 304/4 speed. It may have been a 'Holy Grail', but man that thing was worse than an AMF Harley.
I watched one of your videos the other week where you went to buy a bunch of jeeps and a couple of porsches great video. I sent a message to you asking if it was possible to get contact info for that yard seen some trucks my be interested in could you let me know yes or no please.

Have to disagree wholeheartedly. 76 was the 1st year of the model 20 diffs and the 300 transfer. Not to mention the crap carbs and total garbage chrysler transmissions that became the thing in the 80's. Just saying. If you want a CJ5 that is worthy of owning and operating and truly does very well off road, get a 72-74 with the 44/30 and model 20 and get the power lock diffs front/rear. True 4WD and tuff. Personal opinion of course.
put that damn coffee down..
Hi Dennis happen to watch your 20 epic buy ( 18 Jeeps and 2 Porsche) in Missouri, and then AMwine ed more of your videos, Wow no words very......... from Isgak Ederies in Rocklands Mitchells Plain Western Cape South Africa
Restore the green one!
Best part about a jeep junkyard? Never run out of places to set your coffee.
How many hoods have you opened in your entire life with jeeps You gonna have to get shoulder surgery Someday and you could tell the doctor I've opened more Jeep hoods than anybody in the world
keep up the good work Dennis love your videos .love to have a jeep some day.
Dennis you're one lucky man hard work I guess prevails you've done a great job I used to have a lot of cars over the years but as they say family first sell sell sell. Ps wow there all so cool..ps can i come work with ya and for you..PLEASE..I WILL MAKE YOUR COFFEE FOR YOU EVERY MORNING..
Nice gunrack mounted to the windshield in the 81 Renegade V8 😎🇺🇸 Oh and cant forget the grenade shifter knob.
I owned a 1979 cj5
I wish I still had my 1984 cj7 Renegade. Sold it for 4,700 back in 2003
Just a guy tryn to sell his junk . 😁
The copper H code 304 Renegade. It is like the one that my dad had when I was growing up.
I loved my 1980 CJ 7 wish I still had it....
Iv got 73 cj5 with 304 wolf pack ....
my first jeep was a 1952 willys.the gas tank was under the drivers seat lol
Holy grail is the 300H code
The 75 was the last of the best. I had one with the 304 V8, 3 speed and heavy duty frame with 10 inch tru tracks. The straight up windshield and Jeep steering column was a real Jeep. Not with a lot of cheap Detroit parts.
I know where there is a jeep that came with a Buick v6 is this a factory thing or what
Alot of work! Great job and I enjoyed the video.
Love gun rack on front wind shield Renegade
I recall different friends in 76 buying CJ’s. Renegade was awesome, as most made do with the standard model.
ATTI. SUNDAR HJR FROM NEPAL. KTM HARIKRISHNA. BASNET.
I had a 74 cj5 5, I really hated that thing lol. It was my 1st 4x4 and I was always getting stuck, from stupid stuff like the axle bolts getting hung up in stumps trying to go around tank traps. So why wouldn't a 74 cj5 be collectable but a 76 would??
Ive got an 83 scrambler id like to see go to a good home
Dennis el Jeep es el carro más hermoso del mundo, siempre eh querido uno y nunca me lo eh podido comprar, regálame uno aunquesea viejo, saludos desde Lumberton NC
81 v8 renagade,ive got a cj7 81 v8 renagade i think there were 200 made so the cj5 has to be less
Love to have an 88 or earlier Jeep Comanche.
I am restoring a 1982 Jeep CJ 5 (AMC) the year I graduated from High school.
im not sure about tailgates being an option. pretty sure all civilian ones had it. only military had a solid back.
I had a 77 CJ-5 in Blue Levi Jean trim, inline 258-6, with a granny 4-spd. Wasn't fast but climb nearly anything. It was pretty much plain Jane outside of that. I miss that Jeep.
what was the very undesirable 4 cylinder? low mileage would not be bad though.
I thought Richard knows about cars But Dennis my respect. Keep doing this love the videos. 👍🏻
I’m actually looking for a red 74 CJ 5 with the 258 engine. To bad you don’t have any of those.
I’m still diggin’ on my ‘74 CJ5 with 304v8 4bbl Edelbrock and a t15 3spd. - where is this place located?
sir collins love ur show, good work
Dennis, I have a Holy Grail 1974 Cj5..... It has a metal body delete, except the front window is metal (factory?). They left the fiberglass body completely stock. So it has the Factory waves in the panels. Some small cracks for that patina look. A original, from the Holley factory, 4 barrel carburator. I would love to trade it for a Cj7 with a V8. Let me know what ya got to trade, I'll drive it down from Ohio, but will have to add an overdive....🤘🤙🤝
My 79 v8 cj5 Renegade is my holy grail. T18, 360 with tbi, d60 rear, d 44 front, arb front and back, welder, full cage, tilt wheel, 5 point harness, and on and on.
Never ever have a jeep in my life, not driven one I don’t think I have ride in one even. Thanks for the video.
I got 56 willys cj6 for sale. Anyone interested
What’s wrong with a 72 cj5? My 72 is a factory amc 304 with a 3 speed borgwarner t15 There’s a guy in Pella, Iowa that has tons of Jeep’s and jeep parts, dougs 4 wheelers.
That was fantastic, I’ve had 12 different CJ’s, presently in an 85 CJ7, my first was an 81 CJ5 Laredo with 304 176 in white with nutmeg top and interior, my next door neighbor had an 81 CJ5 with a 401 that would lift the front tires a foot off the ground, I consider that a holy grail over mine which was more holy grail than any of yours but still the same love your show and still trying after 11 more to recreate the first one all over again. Merry Christmas Dennis.
a got an gpw from 1943 plus spare parts for sale
Have a 77 cj 5 for sale
I just bought a 78 CJ5, base model. NOT a holy grail.
Jeeps are so cheep.
Its cool that Dennis get just as excited over a ragged out Jeep as he does over a $1m Ferrari.
I had a 76 CJ7 and a 78 CJ5 when I was in my early 20's. I loved them both. Regret ever selling both.
I have a 76 CJ5 v8
I had a '77 with a V8, PS, PB and a T150. It was yellow with a tailgate. Looked at one T18 but it was a rusty snowplow Jeep.
Do you have a 49 Willys to show me. That was my first. Thanks
looking for 80s islander
Wow. Never seen so many Holy Grails!
I love automatic cj"s, I am a Texas girl looking to buy a cj I don't really care about the wear on the body but I do want it to pass spects I had to sell my cj5 1976 to bury my dad and big sister I have saved up what I believe is enough money to purchase a cj. hopefully I live in New Orleans and I do not have transportation but I only want a cj I am living on a fixed income and want to come home to Texas Witcha Falls if possible I would trust a Texan to sell me a running cj with bikini top and arrange for delivery My name is Cynthia Criswell 928-274-0021 Please talk to me my father wad a WW11 vet and a mechanic God Bless Y'all
